"The Gate" was a movie that SCARED THE SHIT outta me when I was little. I didn't watch it again and haven't seen it in probably 20 years now because it scared my entire family so bad that my mom wouldn't let any of us watch it a second time, and even like 10 years after when I was able to drive and make my own movie choices I would see it in movie stores and be like "Oh no not that again." I probably lost more sleep over "The Gate" than all of my relationships combined. This movie is built up in my mind as the most fear inducing thrill ride of all time, AND before I watch it I'm going to go over some things I remember or think I remember from this movie.
*it stars Fred Savage, the other kid from "The Wonder Years" and Blossom
none of those people are in this movie, one of the kids kinda looks like Paul from the wonder years but it's not him. I'm pretty sure the girl isn't blossom, no one associated with this movie worked on blossom actually, there is no way to play 6 degrees of blossom from the gate.

I can't wait to see how much of that is true.
so after 20 years of avoiding a movie, mainly because I'm horrified that it will actually be as scary as I remember, but I'm going to watch AND review both Gate 1 and it's sequel that I didn't know existed until 20 minutes ago! which looks just as scary! I mean Don't take my word for it
I just have to find a copy of them for cheap

I was going to connect Blossom to Stephen Dorff in six degrees, but I looked him up on IMDB, and it turns out he once guest starred on Blossom.
