Highlander Remake?

Well I feel like my most popular posts are my remakes, I should do another one. In the past I've focused on movies that I don't think need to be remade and how Hollywood would fuck up the franchise. I think with this I'll focus on a series that had some potential, but was never handled properly and with the right guidance (mine!) could be great! So today we're looking at Highlander.

So Highlander is the story of a french-scotsman who dies, then comes back to life and is thrown out by his clan. After that he meets a scottish-egyptian-spaniard type dude, and they become great friends. Which brings me to my first point about this remake, let's cast some people who are actually like...scottish. I mean don't cast Gerard Butler (and definitely don't make him sing) but how about someone who doesn't speak in a thick french accent? I mean come on, the protagonist of this movie is this guy

It wouldn't bug me so much if he could do a scottish accent, but he mine as well just speak french through the whole movie. Il peut y avoir seulement l'un!

NEXT! The screenplay SHOULD NOT BE WRITTEN BY THE WOMAN WHO WROTE ALL THE TWILIGHT FILMS.............crap. WAIT! I have an idea, don't focus on the highlander's at all! Focus the movie on Brenda J. Wyatt! Here, here's the summary!

Brenda Wyatt a weapons expert has always been a little bit different. Never one to run with the crowd, Brenda never cared about fitting in with the trendy, plastic girls at her Richmond, NY police station. When her mother remarried and Brenda chooses to live with her father in the rainy little town of Queens, NY, she didn't expect much of anything to change. But things do change when she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Russell Edwin Nash, also known as Conner McLeod. For Conner is nothing like any boy she's ever met. He's nothing like anyone she's ever met, period. He's intelligent and witty, and he seems to see straight into her soul. In no time at all, they are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance - unorthodox because McLeod really isn't like the other boys. He can cut off men's heads. He can get struck by lightening afterwards which does some nondescript transfer of power. Oh, and he hasn't aged since the 1500's. Like all immortals, he's immortal..
