It seems that sometimes in the mid 1940's after big band and Jazz went out of style so did writing songs about Halloween (except the monster mash) and I think everyone kinda forgot about how many songs about Halloween there were from that era. Here's one of my favorites, and I will apologize for the poor recording now since this isn't exactly easy to find a great recording for. This is Louis Armstrong Featuring Jimmy Dorsey and his orchestra with Skeletons in the Closet

love this whole series of blogs! great addition to the typical Halloween movie reviews out there! NOt a huge fan of the first one, but i also agree that it is not lame and would be a great song at a party. LOVED the second ;D
Halloween is actually my favorite song on this list so far. Really like the guitars in that one.
