The Immortals

people may remember my review of "Clash of the Titans" and by "people" I mean one person may have actually read my review of "Clash of the Titans" and that one person may have remembered that I didn't like it. In fact, allow me to quote my review of "Clash"

the movie was a piece of shit.

That just about sums it up right there. Honestly, the more time goes by the more I think my review of Clash was just TO NICE! That was my worst movie of 2010 and I still feel I was too nice to it! Now there were a lot of parallels between "The Immortals" and "Clash of the Titans" both are about a man and his war against gods. This didn't annoy me in this one. Both have a lot of whining, again less annoying in this one, and I will explain why.

Ok, first off the war with the gods. In clash you had a war with the gods with no plan, and no method or winning this war. Now the villain in this movie was the one who was at war with the gods, he had a plan find a bow that would allow him to unleash the titans and titans and gods can fight and you're golden right? You felt that the villain, King Hyperion, was capable of winning this war something that I never really felt in "Clash" MOVING ON!

Whiney Characters. In Clash Perseus's dad died and so he was all about killing the gods, Theseus wants to kill Hyperion! That makes such a huge difference, Perseus never at any point had any hope of winning his little battle against the gods, despite the fact that he did really. Theseus is smart, a solid leader, and a good warrior. Perseus was lucky and tried so hard to be bad ass all the time! those are the two main reasons I think this movie is not as bad as "Clash"

Now how does the movie hold up on it's own? It's not bad, it was made by the creator of "The Cell" and "The Fall" one of those is really really good, while the other is really really bad. This one falls right between the two, it's not nearly as bad as the cell, but not as great as the fall. It was an enjoyable fun action flick. Visually it's beautiful, also Henry Cavill has wonderful abs, and the girl that plays the oracle wonderfully beautiful.

So, if you're looking for a fun entertaining and visually stunning movie, check it out. If you HATE fun, then this isn't for you.

That's Frieda Pinto from Slumdog Millionaire and Rise of the Planet of the Apes as the Oracle. She's hot.

I don't think I'd ever noticed her before, never saw rise but she was gorgeous.
